Help Turning on android phone from laptop

Hello,
The power button of my mobile phone (HTC one mini) is broken. I tried to reboot it from my Mac.
The mobile is on debugging mode.
I installed the ADB utility on my mac and I type the command "./ adb reboot" in Terminal.
Unfortunately, the message "error: device '(null)' not found" was returned.
I really dont know what to do now.
Help would be very much appreciated

unless the phone is already on, you cannot access it from a computer.

sorry

OFF is just plain 'off', no power to the phone's internal circuits.
the power button switch is the only thing being monitored while in 'powered off mode' ....

lots of cyber TV shows that claim to work magic and turning on dead devices, but it don't work in the real world.

if you can open the case, and short the two solder points where the power button attaches the motherboard, then you can access it.
