Turning on camera from power button

Recently and presumibly after s software update, the camera on my S8 doesn't open with a double click of the power button, having to open it by clicking the camera icon in the bottom right corner. After this the first shot isn't kept but you have to say whether its ok or want to retry. This is incredibly annoying and time wasting if you want to take spontaneous images.
It seems to have affected all devices and is a big step backwards. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

So this is a Samsung specific feature, at least for S8 and Note6, and Samsung have evidently removed it with an update? So unless anyone else knows how to implement it, with an app like Macrodroid or Tasker possibly, it's only Samsung who could restore it.

I know Oppo and Vivo have a similar feature which allows quick camera access, where you draw a circle on the screen as a gesture when the screen is off and locked.

So if you go to settings, apps, camera, more settings, there isn't an options to turn camera quick launch on and off?
