TV box ArmA9 movie playback problems

I bought a TV box with DVB tuner (from ********** seller)
Armcortex-A9 Neon AML8726-M3 (dual core)
Android 4.0.4 seems working perfectly but:

a) HD movie playback has breaks, cracks and usually is stalled. I've tried different players apart from the included (such as vlc, mx, BS)
b) DVB-T reception is perfect (strong signal) but the sound has delay from image, a tiny one but very annoying

Low resolution movies usually play ok.

Can anyone help?
Is it possible to have hardware problem? (a faulty device?)

Sounds likes it's poor design/testing and is faulty. Best bet is to RMA it for a refund. The fact the forum ****** the vendor, says that we have quite a low opinion of them and are not recommended.
