To install Tweetdeck Beta...

Go into Settings, select Applications and enable "Unknown sources".
Download tAttachApkInstaller from the Android Market
Download Android Tweetdeck from: http://downloads.tweetdeck.com/android_beta/TweetDeck-0.9.2.apk (Easyer to download from phones browser)
When asked, open the file with tAttachApkInstaller

Tell me if this works if not i can fix it fast!!!

NOTE: Tweetdeck may be account required
 
Yeah that's how I got the beta. Uninstalled for now though as it's killing my battery and there are widely discussed problems with the amount of data it uses.

Yeh looks quite power draining, do you know how to get one of your lists into a collum? is this even possible?
 
Go to your friends from the toolbar, select your own twitter account, select the list, then tap the "add column" button at the bottom. You will then have a timeline specific to that list from the main screen that you can access by swiping left or right.

I didn't have any battery problems, but after awhile, my Facebook stops updating and it only lists the Twitter feed. For my use, that's a major bug. Also, lack of audible notifications is puzzling to me. I know those will be included with future updates though.

I uninstalled until there are more updates to make it more practical and reliable.

the app do it work on 1.6? i had it on my desire, but now i have a x10 and the new beta will not install

Same problem here, it kept logging out of my facebook account. Repeatedly logging in got really old feally fast.
 
I gave it a whirl for 15 minutes, it's not ready for prime time. I didn't like the feature sets that were currently available, the display of tweets, the notifications...basically the only thing I liked about it was the integration with Facebook. I'll revisit when it goes GA.
