Help twitter notifications

I had my phone set up to get twitter notifications. I had to change my facebook password, and in order to get that reset on my phone, I was told to clear my cache, cookies, data, so I did that, and got facebook to work. But now twitter doesn't work. I can log onto twitter via the mobile browser, but I can't get the notifications to work anymore. I try to log in and it keeps telling me my login info is incorrect. I've double checked it with twitter to make sure it is correct, but it still won't work on my phone.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Delete the twitter account from the phone and set it back up.

Goto Settings->Account and Sync->Delete the Twitter account

then set it back up.
