Two inboxes in one mail account

My wife has a Samsung Tablet with a gmail account and another pop account.
Both of these account have an INBOX and a inbox.
Not sure why and it drives her nuts as they both contain the same emails putting into delete frenzy.
Tried searching the internet for an answer without success.
Also I gather there is not way to "delete all" in the mail app.

She'd looks in her Gmail with the PC.
I think Gmail accumulates the emails of her other email account.
But I don't remember where in Gmail you can uncheck this.

Or an other way would be to delete the POP email account on the phone
