Help Two Issue since Updating to JellyBean

Hi All

I updated to JellyBean last week and have noticed two weird things....


1. I charge my phone overnight, unplug it and drive to work (about a 15min time span) when I get to work my phone is at 84% battery - the phone has not been used since it was unplugged and fully charged. I do have battery saver on and have attempted to adjust the brightness and each morning the brightness is higher than it was the day before.

2. I am unable to update a few of my apps. I get an error each time I do it. I do only update my apps over WiFi.

Any help? suggestions? I'm lost......TBH the battery thing is a huge pain.

It's suggested to do a factory reset when these issues occur. I may be doing one myself because of battery life

What happens when I do a factory reset? Do I lose everything on my phone? <--- sorry dumb Q I know.
