Hi everybody, question I'm new to this so... Could forgetting to wipe cache and dalvik affect your battery life after flashing recovery in twrp?. If so what do I need to do to fix it. That may be why my system is running high ?. Thank you for the help.

What did you flash? Did you just flash recovery? In any case wiping out your dalvik cache wouldn't hurt,

Here's what happened I rooted, installed twrp, made a backup of my stock rom, wiped everything, installed katana rom and I had problems with it, so I wiped and I installed the stock rom back from recovery on twrp. That's why I asked if it would hurt my battery life. I appreciate the help.
Thank you.

I did notice different battery consumption on the two versions of twrp. I asked the developers about the possibility of the hardware and kernel differences but didn't get any feedback.
I have the original firmware phone and did revert back to the first "test" twrp for a better battery. Just my take on it. Thanks

Thank y'all. I knew something wasn't right. So do you recommend just downloading the first twrp instead?. As for katana it was the it wasn't accepting my sd card, also it takes up more space than stock rom... Is that because of the extra features?. I'm already having like 3.5 left with all the apps on stock rom that makes me uneasy. What do y'all advise?. Thank you for all the help once again.

If you have a new Stylo the older twrp won't work on your phone at all so that's not an option. As for it being bigger, the rom itself isn't, but the system apps like chrome, hangouts etc are in /data if you installed from the play store instead of /system like they originally come.

LG is cheap.

Once a phone gets semi popular they swap out parts for cheaper ones (in this case the screen) to maximize profit. So the newer Stylo's have a different screen and the twrp and cm made for the original variants doesn't work on the new screens.

I think I have the older variant. Mine is made in Korea and I've had it like 4 months now, am I right? . I'll give katana another try when I have time seeing as cm is still incomplete. I installed greenify and habiernated some apps that were running in the background and it seems like it's helped my battery life it's better today. Thank you all for the help.
