Help Type of power supply needed for a MID_M709S

I had this unit given to me over a year ago and now better late than never want to see what is does.
But I need to know the type of power supply I need to charge up the battery.
I have looked at several site and nothing there about this particular unit I have.
I am not new to computers since I have a unit before the IBM were out on market for general public back in 83.
I never got interested in the tablets as such but my granddaughter came down from NY and a Lady at the office where I worked had a extra tablet and gave it to my redhead since they knew each other for previous visits so I helped register that one for the redhead and now I saw this one a figured why not get it to work and maybe I can communicate with my granddaughter in NY.
Thank you in advance

If the battery holds a charge, which is debatable for a device that old, it should boot up. you could try adding your gmail account to the device, but it's a lottery whether the play store or any other default apps would update successfully.
That tablet most probably has an ARM V6 processor, Android support for that chop stopped with 4.4 KitKat, AFAIK the majority of apps in the play store are built for ARM v7 processors.

Thanks for the reply so now,
Would you believe that I got a charger hooked it up and this 11am turned it on but got message that the Os or what ever makes it work was damaged.
So is there a way to get into the bio's to do a factory reset.
I was able to do a factory reset on my 10 yr old granddaughter's ?Fire tablet Tuesday before I put Her on the plane back to Fulton, NY. So any an all help is welcome. I know and have messed with puters back before the IBM was out for the public back in 83/84. So when the 8088's and 286's and up became available I worked of a computer on line sales company to learn all about them. But these tablets an such I never touched them. Just for the fun of it I have the DOS 3&1/4's and Win 2 and then Pent1,2,3,and 4 and the OS's for these units so if any one needs a card for any of the old systems text me or email me..
Thanks again

What actually popped up on the screen was this.
System is damaged, please try recover from external storage.
Well since all I was given was the device where do I go or look for to fix, correct, or reload the OS.bios configuration?

If (and it's a big if) you go to the manufacturer's website, they may have the OS (firmware) available to download. If so, download it, and if there's no instructions, we'll help you to get it working. it'd be good just to revive what otherwise is a large paperweight.
Although I think you'd be better off just getting a new one running Android 8 or 8.1.

It's telling you that the firmware needs to be re-flashed, because it's corrupted for some reason. Unfortunately all the free file sharing download URLs for the required Allwinner A13 ROM and tools have long expired, and are no longer available online. I suspect the manufacturer ceased trading long ago as well, as they often do, or moved onto manufacturing hoverboards or something.

That model is pretty dated and apparently has little after-market, vendor support so flashing it will be something of project just to obtain a valid, stock ROM. Also, with only 256MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage you're not going to be happy with its general performance even if you do eventually re-flash it. That tablet model just doesn't have the necessary system resources to be viable, daily usage device, and it's not enough to support any more modern version of Android anyway.

If you plan in using it do anything more than very rudimentary tasks, you're just going to be disappointed and get frustrated when you have the related problems of just getting it to connect to any online service.
I'd strongly suggest you focus your attentions on just buying something newer and more capable instead of putting any time, effort, and money into getting this particular device working again.

Does anyone know of another person here or anywhere else for that matter that has such a unit as I have described here??

Well the unit does hold a charge but to find someone who knows how to install the firmware is my next project. Since I was given a link to where I could DL the firmware was easy but when I opened it up there was a couple other RAR files I had to open to and that is when i stopped.
