Hi all, New to the forum and looking at upgrading from Treo/Palm to G1/Android. I am a Tmo customer with the $4.99 tzones grandfathered in my account. My contract is up next month.
I was wondering if anyone is successfully using the G1 with Tzones. I do not want the 3G data plan. I was also wondering if some of the other functions require the data plan vs. wifi. Downloading music, pop3 email, web I assume can all be done in a wifi footprint. The only stickler will be the loss of my TomTom GPS software on the treo...I assume the google maps are used for navigation and with no data plan it will not be available in my car or in the woods. Any info is greatly appreciated.
