U8150-D (African) on AT&T pay as you go

Huawei U8150-D in US on AT&T

Howdy,

I love this phone even more now!

It took me some time, and the settings are slightly different as I have the U8150-D which appears to only do 2G/EVDO? This phone came from Kenya, and both AT&T and Huawei said data would not work here... but, I have EVDO working great on pay as you go plan now! Here it is:

Settings/Wireless & Network Settings/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names

Hi drfuka, I have a U8150 D and it does:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100 / AWS
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 1700

What is the EVDO that you mention as I can't find any reference to that in the specs or User Manual? Neil.
I "Googled" and got the answer and your AT&T provider is obviously giving you that capability.
