I don't necessarily trust the efficiency of Uber and their checks and balances system. My son was at Coachella and called for an Uber, which was snatched by some other person who took everyone for a ride (literally and figuratively) to San Diego and a charge of $400. My son refused to pay it, since he did not take the ride, and the driver did not ask for or confirm the rider's name. What did Uber do? They banned him.
In light of that, and given the recent political bonehead moves by Uber and its CEO, we are all happily using Lyft.
OP, I don't know why you were banned, but if it was not for good reason, tweet them and shame them publicly.
