Ubuntu 13.10!

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my distro of linux to 13.10 from 13.04.

Anyone else done it yet?

I ran the beta for about a week a few weeks ago. Then I remembered why I left Ubuntu

I'm stuck using Ubuntu because Splashtop only works on 12.04 or 12.10 and doesn't work properly on other versions of linux at this point. Switching my interface back to Gnome or KDE really screws up the menus of the program, though it still works. If I want to do anything with the menus, I have to log out and back in using Unity :banghead:

Ugh but now I'm having a problem!! I need to either changed channels on my router, or change its security type, OR new drivers or something because the pc isn't connecting to it. All my other devices seem to work just fine lol

I'm using Linux Mint 13 Maya, which is based on Ubuntu Precise LTS, supported until April 2017. So no need for me to upgrade at the moment. :)

my Chromebook, used daily since it's so light and portable, is forever stuck in 12.04 LTS. there is no other distro planned.

lol to be honest. i wanted to stick with ubuntu 12.04 LTR, BUT, I didnt have a big enough cd, SO, I got Lubuntu (they didnt have 12.04) and got 13.04 to start and I figured, what the heck, upgrade lol

The other devices don't seem to be getting interference on the channel you're using.

or change its security type
The other devices don't seem to have any problem with that security type.

OR new drivers
Does your wlan0 device see any signals? If so, the driver is probably working okay. (There are no "router" drivers, since the router isn't connected to the computer.)

Try manually configuring wlan0 or whatever your wifi adapter is.

As some of you may know, I've been running for the 13.10 pre-release pretty much since May-ish. Upgraded to it in an attempt to get a newer kernel that wouldn't have buggy HDMI audio with my Laptop's AMD GPU. Turned out I needed to enable a few command line options in my grub config to get the kernel to expose the device, and even then, it starts out kinda scratchy....but smoothes out after 1-1.5 minutes. :)

All in all, pretty happy with it.
