Since this is the general forum about computers I thought I feel proud of myself for a little here and let you guys that I have finally managed to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (beta 2) and configure it the way I have always wanted.
The two persisting problems which I had for the past 2 months with 11.10 were.
Grub 2 was not behaving properly with my 3 disk set up - I have been wanting to leave MBR intact and install Ubuntu on a totally different drive - the previous solution which I have had to deal with was manually generating a grub file so that it can pickup the windows installation and wiping MBR while it was at it. Now I point my computer to proper drive to boot from to boot into ubuntu using grub while the default method uses windows MBR to boot straight to windows!!! Awesome.
Problem number 2 involved my dual monitors and my Ge Force FX 460 GTX video card and my dual monitor setup. The Ubuntu X server was being a pain and would not accept the new Nvidia Driver which I was trying to push to it. Once I would do that the entire gnome interface would stop working. Now I just updated driver and modified the X server using the Nvidia utility and Ubuntu starts with my dual screens on.
Well I feel proud of myself
