[UK] Bank Charges for Apps

Hey Everyone.

Now i'm sure those of us in the UK have noticed that banks are sometimes charging a one of fee and a currency conversion rate when we buy the apps on Credit / Debit cards.

I couldn't find a definitive list of bank charges so I thought i would ask you lot.

Please reply as follows (i think these are correct!) :eek:

Meh, can't believe i'm the only one bothered by this? how is everyone else paying for their apps via Google Checkout?

IE which cards should i be looking at if i want to avoid extra charges?
 
Not all of us are in the UK. I get charged conversion fees anytime I purchase from a vendor overseas whether it's for a purchase on the Market or anything else. Of course, that isn't quite the same as your particular situation.
 
Yes, The charges are only for Foreign currencies. I am only looking for a debit or credit card that does not charge. AM going to test my barclays account too.
 
I have the same problem too, at the moment I am looking into those prepaid dollar visa cards, only problem is so far the cheapest I have seen is
 
Get a Stantander Zero card as they do not charge currency conversion fees or transaction fees on their debit or credit cards...
 
It's only the 'Zero' cards that have this. Defo worth having for purchase of apps, and when on holiday you'll get no nasty transaction or currency conversion fee when using cashpoints..

(EDIT: Just checked and you need to have a Standander current account or morgage to get one)
 
I wish that Android Market would support Paypal payments. The Iphone app store does so why can't Android Market? We wouldn't need Paypal if it weren't for these ridiculous charges, but seeing as these extra charges and fees aren't going away anytime soon Google need to do something about it and give us the option of Paypal.

I bought an app the other day and looking at my bank statement, I find that the bank has charged me
 
disapointed to still see this happening. Have got a work around at the moment as i'm using a credit card. Not convenient.

I thought i saw a report that google is introducing the ability for Dev's to charge for their apps in local currency. I think this may help
