If you're referring to a wallpaper (which I can only assume you are), simply long-press an empty spot on the screen and select "Wallpaper" and choose a new one. Homescreens themselves are the screens with all your icons and widgets on them: the elements on the homescreens can be removed or re-arranged, and new ones added from the app drawer. But you can't remove a homescreen without a custom launcher like Nova or Apex. Hope this helps.
