Unable Load Custom Image 4 Icon

I wanting to change a picture of a link shortcut from Chrome using my own pictures & Nova Launcher keeps telling me, 'Unable to load image'. Any solutions?

What format is the image? A jpg works fine on mine using nova launcher.
I can assign it any jpg I choose.
How are you trying to do it, step by step?

I figured it out, I wasn't using Gallery Pictures, that's why it wasn't working.
