It does show my provider (plusnet) but there is no Internet access.

Any ideas?

Have you checked your APN settings to make sure they agree with what your carrier says they should be? That's generally the most common cause of this type of problem.

It was nowhere to be found in Settings so I downloaded APN Settings and the app allowed me to display:

However, when I try to add one and choose Save, it doesn't save!

This is a car stereo from China. I wonder why they'd disable this? I know the device works if I use their 4G USB dongle.

What cellular dongle are you using, do you know if it's supported in Android or not. Some might be PC or Mac only.

I've used Huawei E220 with Android no problems.

Yeh, could be a crippled Android version that's installed on this device. You'd need to check with the manufacturer of the stereo about what it does actually supports, if any.

If you continue to have trouble with your dongle, Try PDA net+ app to connect with your devices. Is very reliable and I use it all the. Just follow the simple instructions that comes along with it to get to get it set up if you do consider using it.
