Unable to access wi-fi

Recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. I'm not able to access the internet unless I'm connect at home or work. Not sure why I am unable to access internet when away from a wi-fi router (for example, while in my car driving).

Any help would be appreciated.

In order to connect to wifi, you need to be in range of a wifi router (which you are authorised to use)... if you're driving in your car (and your car doesn't have its own inbuilt wifi router) you won't be able to connect using wifi.


you'd need to use mobile data on your phone... (which is a chargeable service from your mobile phone company). Normally done by turning on mobile data on your phone.

If you are on certain contracts/or pre-pay deals this may be rather expensive. So check with your phone network. They should be able to advise you on pricing, and any network specific configuration that needs to be done to your phone.

Thank you for the response. I believe I didn't phrase the question correctly. How would I set the settings so that I can access the internet when not near a wi-fi router? My previous phone, Samsung Galaxy S III, was able to connect to the internet while I was away from home or work. It was a 3G phone, so that would turn on. I believe this phone is a 4G, so I should be able to connect.
