Unable to change notification tone?

For some reason I am not able to change my notification tone? Yes, I have done Settings - Sounds - Default Notifications - (choose tone) - OK and although my new choice is highlighted the old tone keeps playing.

I recently upgraded to Jelly Bean.

Ideas? Help?
