Help Unable to disable screen lock

I cannot disable the screen lock after the phone goes to sleep. I have tried to do it thru the settings but it doesnt seem to take. Any advice? Thx

I believe it was disabled in Froyo. My LG G2x also has that setting missing, along with other phones running 2.2.

I found a work around for now, free app called "no lock" simple and works great

It's more simply. You type the screen lock code again, and then it gives to you to choose what you want. There is that disable screen lock. I try in DEFY, and is works.

I suggest You first choose go to location and security and setting security lock in it choose pattern lock or passcode lock. use it for few days and then change security lock setting back to none. then in location and security uncheck screen lock. Try rebooting after this if it doesnt work. Hopefully It will work later.
