Unable to download apps on new Sony box

Hi everyone, ok so I have had 3 android phones before so i am pretty savvy with android, however, my partner and i have just today bought a new nsz-gs7 (UK). We have it set up on its own (no live tv). Chrome works fine, but the play store seems utterly broken, if i search for an app I just get an error message saying to try later. If i try to download any of the recommended apps it either says 'not compatible with your device' or just 'loading' forever. We both have google accounts but the problem occurs with both. Tried a factory reset but still to no avail. Is it just a problem with the play store tonight or has anyone else had this? Thanks
 
Well after 3 days it works now. Must have been a problem with the play store.
 
If you don't mind me asking what kind of UK services are available for that.

iPlayer, 4oD, Netflix, Loveflim any of those there ?
 
Not yet. Netflix coming soon, no word on the others yet, but as it's brand new here in the uk, it's likely that these services will appear soon too.
