If I'm understanding your question, try this. While looking at the text message that has a photo, long press next to the photo but on the message. Like in the white border around the picture. You should get a popup with the option to save.
If that's not what you meant, I suggest joining the forums and asking that question in our S3 Forums. Lots of bright folks there that can help you.
