Unable to get past android boot up screen

When I turn on my Android Latte. The device will not boot past the 'Android' splash screen

Did you recently run a software update on the phone? Is the phone rooted?

No, no software updates have been run. This is an 8 GB Latte, with a power button a volume button but no "RESET" hole or button.

No it is simply a Latte that wont get past the "android" screen. I dont ever get to the "desktop". It just "hangs" with the "ANDROID" on the screen in its reflective mode. I cant figure out how to get past that or to do a reset and start over. No assistance is starting to make me crazy that I can't just "reset" the stupid thing.
