Hello, all!
I am not an Android user, so my apologies if the answer to this question is obvious...
Anyway, I am the network admin at a private high school. I am rolling out wireless access to the students now, and have run into a problem.
The way I understand it, the way to install CA Certificates on Android devices is to put it on the root of the SD card, put it into the device, go into settings>security>Install From Storage Device (or something like that).
Works fine... Sometimes. There were several devices I was unable to do this with.
I noticed, all of them were running Android 4.0.4.
What they do is this: Insert the card, start it up, go to the appropriate setting, and it says something to the effect of "No certificate found on SD card", and on others it says "No certificate found on USB storage device (though nothing was plugged in???). I also checked under the settings>storage menu, and the SD card was recognized and mounted.
Any idea where I'm going wrong? The certificate is in the .crt format, if that makes a difference (it works on other versions of Android, so don't know whether that would).
Thanks!
