Root Unable to Receive Calls on CM, or any ROM other than STOCK

SOLVED
I flashed CM11, enabled CM Recovery, then updated to Cm12.1 (latest nightly) through the CM Updater. I had tried this before without using the CM recovery with no luck, either the update would fail or my original issue would persist.
Hurray! finally my personal device is fully operational on CM12 and the devices I had to sell are good to go.

Hi there helpful people!
I am working on a Sprint S5 (SM-900p) which I have been using for months while ignoring this issue.
I'm running CyanogenMod 12.1, and everything works just fine, apart from my ability to receive incoming calls, or hangup on outgoing calls. I can make outgoing calls, but when I try to hang up, the dialler app says hanging up, but the connection is held.
When someone else calls me, the call rings on their end, but I receive no indication on my device that any connection is being attempted.

The strange thing is that when running stock Samsung firmware I have no issues. I have tried various paths to installing CM, such as starting off on stock 4.4.4, then progressing through OTA updates to 5.0 before installing CM, thinking that might help, but no dice yet.
I've tried installing other ROM's such as the Resurrection-Remix (CM12-based), and older CM12 builds.

I've done a lot of searching and haven't found anyone else with this issue. There are plenty of reports of people not being able to hang up after calls due to a sketchy proximity sensor, but that's not the issue with me.

If anyone can help me out I'll be super stoked! I'm about to head to work but I can check back in a few hours to answer any questions people might have.

Cheers wonderful helpful people!

The first thing that springs to mind after reading your symptoms is that you may be flashing the incorrect ROM's for your model of Galaxy S5, the G900P, and that these ROM's may not contain the correct modem/baseband needed for the Sprint model/network.

For instance, the worldwide model of the Galaxy S5, G900F, is listed as klte for CyanogenMod but would be incompatible with the Sprint network which requires the kltespr.

Hi there, thanks for the reply.
I am quite certain that I am flashing the right build for my device, definitely using kltespr. But it's possible that at some point in the months that I've struggled with this that I may have flashed the wrong one.
Does every update.zip contain modem settings that are flashed? Perhaps I need to flash that modem specifically or something?
Also, would it be dangerous to try flashing another build deliberately? Such as the GSM model klte?

Any help is hugely appreciated

Cheers

Ok, this is crazy, I have another Sprint s5 that I just managed to recreate the exact same issue on.
In this instance I had stock 4.4.2, rooted and Philz touch (CWM) recovery installed. I did a full wipe then flashed the 07-30 Cm12.1 nightly. Now bam, I can't receive incoming calls or hangup, exactly the same as the other device.
What the ****!!?!?!?

There's your answer!

CM nightly's are experimental beta ROM's that are not intended for daily use and will have, as beta ROMs do, issues. Check on the CM thread and see if other users are experiencing this issue and if there is an update for it or go back to a stable or release build if there is one on CM.

I ve been having the exact same problem but since im on og1 is it possible for me to flash cm11. My sprint s5 is unlocked using metro sim. Like u said the phone works great using a stock based rom. But when i flash anything, honestly ive tried them all,,aokp,sokp,pac,cm12, its the same result no incoming calls

What is happend, when you go to phone -> settings -> calls -> phone account setting and set Receive incoming calls on?

my CM 12.1 Nightly receive calls right now
