Unable to restore phone content from USB drive using Samsung Smart Switch

I backed up the content of my former Samsung Galaxy S8 plus on a flash drive through Smart Switch. Now I can't restore the content onto my new Samsung Galaxy A70 as I can't remember the password I used in order to back up the content onto the flash drive. Is there a way to bypass the password and get the content on the flash drive restored onto my new phone?

Samsung support center have not been able to give me any satisfactory feedback.

Thank you in advance for your support

I wouldn't be too disappointed in Samsung, this just means your data is safely protected. If it was easy to crack that would mean it's not safely protected.
For a lot of services there is no 'back-door' option if you can't remember your password -- i.e. with Dropbox, since your stored data in your account with them is unencrypted you have the ability to reset your password provided there's proof of your identity; but with a similar service like SpiderOak, since all your stored data is always encrypted and they never store any encryption keys on their end, if you forget your password you've lost access to your account.

Do you even recall if the password you used is similar to anything you commonly use for other passwords? You might want to put this whole matter aside for the night, let your mind clear up, and perhaps in the morning you'll be able to remember it again.

Where is your old S8 Plus? Any chance it's still accessible to you (and has not been through a Factory Reset) so you can do another backup?

My old S8+ had been undergoing repetitive crashes whenever restarted. Due to what seemed to be a battery failure. In anticipation to the worst to come I backed up the content of my S8+ onto a USB stick and performed a factory reset with the hope that the battery problem would be resolved for good. To no avail. So I bought the new A70 and you know what happened next...
