unable to send e mail but can receive

Samsung galaxcy tab 2.
When using with offsite wifi tab is able to rx and tx all e mail accts except one . In this case able to rx but gives "unable to conn to server' when try to force send from out box. Tried resetting E acct but no improve...appears to select strange port and will not be shifted from if. Once back with home wifi all ok

So you are able to send and receive email without issue when home... but when elsewhere you can receive but not send. Is this correct? Does this always seem to happen on the same wireless network? It almost sounds like the wireless provider is blocking the smtp port number your device is using. You might want to check that wireless service provider to see if they publish SMTP configuration settings as this should indicate if they use an alternate SMTP port number, or may require use of SSL/TLS.
