Unable to swipe notifications from some apps.

Hi,

I am unable to remove Ultra Data Saving Mode notification at the top. Is there any way to remove the notification or turn off just the notifications from this app?

I am having this problem with other apps too, but with them, I can turn off just the notifications still. With Ultra Data Saving mode, I have to turn off the whole app, to get rid of the permanent notification.

Thanks
Abhay

If you got Android 6.x or later, you should be able to go settings, app management, and disable notifications from the individual apps there.

If the notification is from an app running an ongoing process, then those notifications you can't swipe away, not until you end the process, and then they disappear. Other things like email or SMS notifications, that aren't from ongoing processes, those can be swiped away of course. I guess your "Ultra Data Saving" mode, is an ongoing process running, it's probably a sort of VPN or remote proxy. Does it show a key icon or "VPN" in the top notification area? Which means it's using a VPN.

For example on my phone, "VPN activated. Connected to Hong Kong..." that's my ExpressVPN app running, and that notification will go when I close the VPN.
The one underneath from Baidu Maps, that's just some message, and can be swiped away.
