Help unable to use volume buttons

hi since the latest update im unable to control the volume with the buttons on the side of my phone any ideas ? its really annoying going in to the settings all the time

Does anything appear on the screen when you press the volume buttons, or does it act like the buttons aren't there at all?

like the buttons arent there at all but thay still work to do things like screen shots

Hmm, it's possible that you might have an app interfering with the volume controls.

Could you please try rebooting into Safe Mode to see if the problem continues with your apps temporarily disabled?

This may be a bit of a reach, but can you check at Settings > Accessibility > Switch Access to see if it is enabled? That feature lets you use hardware buttons (like the volume buttons) to control the phone, so if it had been inadvertently activated it would disable the volume control.
