I have a rooted Droid 2 and I am unable to view my wireless tether on my Droid, however, I can connect and surf the net flawlessly with my laptop. Wondering why my Coby MID7024 will not. I can connect to my home network with my Coby.
Yes, it broadcasts the SSID AndroidTetherG. I was reading somewhere else that the tether is only an "ad-hoc" network and the android systems are not able to connect to it naturally. SO for the only thing I found for this was this link
Is there an easier way? I know someone should be developing an app to do this now that there is a laundry list of tablets that people would like to connect to via tethering.
