Help Unable to view HD Youtube Videos

I got my droid,Motorola Cliq in May this year....all was working fine until November 2nd(November 1st in western GMT+2~-8 region)....when i opened Youtube while connected to WiFi internet, all videos posted after that day cannot be viewed with HD, but able with the crappy Normal Quality.....i guess there was a Major format change in Youtube that the droid cannot handel....is any other person having this problem? Any solutions already? it happened BEFORE i rooted my droid and was with 1.5.9 Firmware(Cupcake), now i had it rooted and has 2.1 custom mod rom in but STILL UNable to play HD videos....guess its hardware problem?
