unbricking a bricked Galaxy Ace

Is it possible to unbrick a bricked galaxy ace ?.
I bought one cheap, and would like to try fix it, after successfully unbricking a galaxy mini I have a taste for android brains. I got ops & md5 files, loaded them into odin which took a while to find the Ace, as i can not enter download mode or recovery. but odin is still running after 45 mins. has anybody else had this problem?. or am i fighting a lost battle?. worst case scenario i can strip it an sell for parts, but I would really like to save this android from scrap heap challenge. :confused:

Thanks il give that a try now. odin is detecting it but there is nothing on the screen is that normal?. the yellow triangle (download mode)
 
Thats not normal no lol. I had an s2 that was the same. Odin recognised it but wouldnt flas it. You may need to jtag the phone with a riffbox.

that sounds complicated ha, can you tell me more about a riffbox. ive seen tutorials but dont they only work certain models. if so wont i need more boxs with the more models im working on.
 
If Odin doesn't work then the JTag is your only option, apart from replacing the whole motherboard. There was a tutorial on xda some time back, they showed how to make a jtag yourself using a couple of resistors and a micro sd male port, needed a bit of soldering, it looked easy to do though, look it up, might help you out.
