So this may just be me not understanding, but how do you flash a kexec ROM? I mean I am running a kexec ROM now somehow, liquidsmooth, but I saw in the OP of another thread to flash the ROM you need to kexec a ROM slot. How am I running a kexec ROM right now by flashing it over the JB kernel and not doing anything? Literally I'm on the leak and I flashed a kexec ROM and it works. So what is kexec-ing a ROM slot and then why is it necessary?

Kexec is an integrated mod in the rom. If you notic someone mentioning to kexec ur rom slot, it doesnt mean anything really. The Droid Razr M, HD have unlocked boot loaders now so our method of custom kernels is integrating a custom layer in an open source rom to allow full control over the cpu rather than allow the stock kernel make the moves.
Like right now, Im trying to "Kexec" my rom (Catalyst) because its currently run by the stock kernel. I want to be able to over clock higher, have voltage controls, zRAM configurations for the users. Its a complicated process and difficult for more reasons to understand the usage of it for most users.
