Uneligible for Upgrade until Feb. What are my options?

The best way around your issue is, add an additional line to your plan. When you add an additional line you will get the phone for the reduced price. However, the problem with this is you will now have an added monthly fee of $19.99 on your plan for the extra line.
Some have done this method (myself included), and some have gone a little further by canceling one of their existing lines to avoid the added monthly charge of 19.99. However, Sprint has caught on and will now attempt to charge you an early termination fee on the canceled line. But some people have called customer service reps who waived the early termination fee.
But as of right now, that is one of the only ways you can get the phone before your upgrade is ready.

You can look into Sprints buy back program to get money for the phone. Sprint does offer some nice prices for certain phones. You could use someone elses upgrade, (if you have multiple people on your account) or if you only have yourself on the account. if you have someone you want to combine with and get a family plan you can add a line and give the person your old phone!
You may want to just call Sprint and ask for an early upgraded. They seem to be pretty generous in regards to early upgrades. they have let me upgraded early twice in the last 3 or 4 years.
Edit: after reading more carefully, it appears you may have to go to a Sprint corporate store to get this deal.

We still can’t guarantee this will work for everyone but it never hurts to try, right?
