'Unfortunately, com.android.systemui has stopped.'

Hello guys.

I'm very frustrated that I've come across this problem. I own a Sony Xperia M2 which I absolutely love! I've owned it for 2 weeks now and it's been working just fine. Suddenly, Im playing a game and the error mentioned in the title is displayed. At first I'm calm and I just press OK. However, when I did, it exited me out of the app and the background went black but I could see the app. When I tapped on the app to open it again, it didn't open and when I touched the screen it was unresponsive. Then I was spammed with the error and the UI itself was moving everytime the error showed. I kept pressing 'OK', but the phone screen eventually went back. So I tried manually resetting the phone via holding the power button and one of the volume buttons. It rebooted (and I've tried rebooting lots of times) and to no success the problem still lies there. I can't root the phone right? Because I would have to be in the phone and have access to the phone for me to root it. Also, I don't know what 'flashing' is but I went on the Sony website and found the link to the flash tool. However it required something called a 'bootloader' or something like that, I'm a beginner at this technical stuff. I can't use PC Companion because it requires the lock screen to be open however as I said I can't unlock it. It's a real bummer. I don't want to take it to service because I'm sure it's a problem related to Google/Android. Please help!

And take me through any steps to solutions?

Thanks!
