Unfortunately Google App has stopped

I've only been using this phone, a Moto E 2nd generation with Android 5.1, about 24 hours and I've received this message several times. Is there a setting or something I need to change?

Obviously that shouldn't happen. If it keeps happening, you might want to try to pinpoint which Google app is throwing the error and then delete the memory and cache from that app (or the possible culprits).

May be some times issues comes from device side and may be from App side.

I think the problem is with your google play services ....try to update it

I agree -
- clear cache from all your important-looking google apps (play services, I think there's one called google, also search... forget sheets/photos/newsstand/music etc for now).
- clear cache in recovery if you now. Or at least reboot if you haven't already
- update google play services and the other important google apps.
