Read hundreds of posts regarding "unfortunately Touchwiz has stopped working". It's unfortunate alright. My wife's Samsung J3, I had removed a weather and was going to replace it with another and now this I had the same problem with mine and after reading for hours by unchecking Motions and Gestures fixed the problem in my S4 mini.

Can anyone please suggest a very simple launcher to replace Touchwiz.

Nova is pretty free, but go to pro you must pay around five bucks.
I might go pro for a while, but I am alright with Launcher Labs for the time being.
 
I moved this thread to the lounge. In the development area, it's not likely to see a lot of response. :)


Nova is great, as is Apex and ADW, but they all have free and paid versions, and they all have a lot of features. They don't really need much of your phone's resources, though and if I were to guess I'd say TouchWiz was a bigger resource hog than any of these launchers. In any case, Give them a try, but stay away from GO launcher as it's got some real security/privacy issues.

USE mini launcher apk is free and easy
 
I use Nova Launcher Prime .. the purchased version.

The free version has some of the Prime options removed. I don't remember what they are anymore,

When I get a new phone I install Nova Launcher Prime on it … export the settings from the old phone … import the settings on the new phone.

Nice, thanks everyone. I quickly installed Nova, the free version and worked perfectly. II had tried Arrow and it was in my face and uninstalled it, that's why I mentioned looking for a simple launcher and Nova filled that. Quick question, what will I get for 5 bucks?
 
One more quick thing regarding my Messaging app. My S4 mini came with a Messaging app that allows me to set it to notify me every two minutes when a message come in in case I miss the first sound. My wife has a Samsung J3 which has similar messaging app but doesn't have the 2 minute setting. Any suggestions on how to get the J3's app to continually notify me eg. every 2 mins untll I pick up the message or should I download a different messaging app?

I never hide apps. It is complicated enough without hiding apps.

I use multiple drawers. Apps others developed, apps I developed, and hide. I move apps I want to hide into the last drawer and seldom visit it.

I use the identical configuration on 5 phones. This is easy by exporting/importing the settings.
