Unhide "active now" in Facebook messenger

This is really ticking me off even though it shouldn't. I guess it's because what should be a VERY simple thing to do seems to be impossible and the option doesn't even exist. I accidentally "hid" my active now list in the fb messenger app on my S5 and for the life of me I see no way whatsoever to show it again (on the home screen). I've searched for about an hour online and there is no answer at all that I can find for this. Anyone know? Thanks!

Just to be clear, when you open Facebook Messenger, and you tap the icon that looks like 3 dots and 3 lines, there is no tab for active?

No seriously did you not read the post? I have the same problem. The main screen in mesenger has an online/active section under current chats, gives you the option to hide it bit no undo for it.

Have you tired re installing the app? Some apps reset their settings when reinstalled...
