Unicode Emoji Subcommittee approved gender expansion for emojis today

Google proposed that the Unicode Emoji Subcommittee expand the field of emoji to make for better gender parity. For instance, for 11 working persons emojis, there will be both male and female variants in all the different skin colors. This means there will be over 100 new emojis to choose form.

Furthermore, they will be updating 33 existing emojis to add more gender parity.
