Help Uninstall without Application Manager?

Mohaver

Newbie
Is there a way to delete apps (in ICS) without having to go through the application manager? If I drag and drop the icon from my "apps" screen to the "delete" trashcan at the bottom right, it does nothing. I'm not simply trying to remove the app from the screen (which the trash can icon seems to only do), I'm trying to uninstall it from my phone. Thanks.

if you installed the app via the PLAY store, look up the same app and instead of INSTALL, it will be UNINSTALL button...

K dont put the icon in the trash can all you need to do is long press the icon and choose app info tap on it then it should give you the option to uninstall or wipe data, so in your case you would choose uninstall thats it :-)

if you see the trash can you on one of your home screens not the app drawer, if you on the acutal app drawer a long hold will prompt you back to your home screens looking for a place to drop it, now when you on the app drawer, hit the menu key and you should see uninstall apps, now any app with a red dash beside it can be uninstalled by tapping it

If you press the Apps button and then press Menu -> Uninstall, you'll see red minus signs next to each app that can be uninstalled. You can swipe from screen to screen to see all your apps and press the icon of any that you want to uninstall. You'll then be asked to confirm that you want to uninstall it, just to prevent any unintentional deletions.
