Uninstalling apps??

Just wondering why when I uninstall the Google calendar app it doesn't uninstall it only disabled it?? Is it because it's a preinstalled app? If so why is it giving me the option to uninstall it. I don't recall seeing it like this before

What phone? My Pixel only shows"disable". And yes, if it's pre-installed disable is all you can do (though this will uninstall any updates).
