universal inbox

newbie here. the universal inbox appears to load all messages, emails from multiple accounts and texts into one nice display, one message per line. I'd like to have its icon on my home page but can't figure out how to do that?

I know generally how to get app icons, widget icons on pages but it seems this particular one can't be dragged anywhere. It's in the Messaging group along with a couple of other icons. The Messaging Icon with the inbox icon can be put onto the home page but that takes another click.

any ideas?

Long press an empty space on the homescreen, choose shortcuts, then universal inbox.

Edit.... Choose widgets instead of shortcuts.

thanks - I've done that but it puts up that larger widget rectangle which contains a snippet of a recent message but not the list of all messages in my inbox?

I was hoping just to put up the icon itself which then goes directly to the message list page.

Any ideas on that one?

Hmmmmm, not really lol. That's odd. I took mine off the dock as well. Let me play a minute and ilk get back to you...

Got it. It's called messaging in the APP drawer. Just long press it in the drawer and drag it where you want to.

did that too but a two click process - messaging then univ. inbox. sure would be nice if that universal inbox direct icon could be placed somewhere like the home page - any further ideas?
