universal video player?

Is there such an app that can play almost all video formats/codecs?

I'd like an app where I would just transfer a video file (dix, xvid, whatever) to my SD card, and the app would let me play it.
Kinda like what "Media Player Classic" does for windows.

Am I dreaming?
What's the closest thing to it?

I really don't feel like converting my videos to an android-friendly format ...

Closest thing to it would be YXFLASH. It's not that great, but it's pretty much the only thing out there and is kind of expensive.

There is another app, but it's in Chinese. I can't remember the name, but if you look in the apps section of alldroid you should find it there...
