unjustified shutdown

My brother has a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 that is 7 inches. He was surfing on the net and then it was put on standby. Afterwards, when he wanted to use it, it wouldnt turn on. We tried plugging it in different outlets. It just wont turn on. This is very urgent, please respond as soon as possible. Thank you.

Is it possible the battery has just run down?

Plug it into a wall outlet and leave it alone for several hours, then see if it will boot up.

If it still will not even turn on, it sounds as if you need to contact the vendor.
