Unknown app "Phones" on home screen

[Android Question]

I have an Huawei H866C Ascend Y200 and an application (icon) named "Phones" appears mysteriously on my home screen which appears to be a complete list of all of my contacts; however, it is NOWHERE to be found to be removed. What is it, how does it get there, and who is retrieving my list of contacts?

That really is bizarre! If you're sure you didn't somehow rename your contacts app, I think I would back up what I can and then do a factory reset.
