Unknown certificate 1004

When do you get the error? When you are trying to install the app or trying to use it? If it's during an install then Mike is probably correct that the app isn't properly signed. See this.

If, however, you get that error when trying to setup or use an email account it's a problem with the SSL certificate at the mail host. It might be that they recent'y renewed their certificate but the app is trying to use the cached version. It could also be that the email provider let their certificate lapse.

Whether it's safe or not depends on the exact problem, but if it's app you've been using for a while with an established email account, then I'd guess it's not a huge security risk. That said, I would contact both the developer and the email provider and once the problem is cleared up, change your password.

I'm using the App. for a while.
My Gmail account works with no problems.

This always shows on the top of inbox,
"Certificate error,
Received unknown certificate( 1004 ) for this account, Do you want allow?"

Okay, so there's a problem with the email's certificate. My guess is they renewed the certificate but the app is still trying to use the old one. I see that all the time with email clients. Sometimes you have to remove the account and then add it back for the certificate to refresh. That depends on the app. As long as the app is IMAP, you should be okay, but removing the account might delete things like your sent folder ot any custom folders not sync'ed back tot he server.
