Help Unknown Notification issue

I just switched from an M8 to an M9 and so far so good. Except, out of nowhere, it started setting off the Notification sound with vibration about every 30 seconds. I figure I changed something by mistake but I can't figure what. I checked in "Settings" and "Notification Reminder" is definitely off. I can silence the sound, but I can't find a setting to turn off the vibration until I find the app responsible. It's killing my battery. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can offer a work around until you find the culprit.

install MacroDroid. have one of the macros turn off the Vibrator and Notifications.
* MacroDroid - Device Automation - Android Apps on Google Play

One possible way to create the macro.... 100's of ways, but we just want to turn off the offenders for now.

Add Trigger: select "Flip Device"
Option: pick one you like

Actions: Vibrate Enable/Disable
Select: OFF

The free version will allow you to make 5 macros. Each macro is only allowed "one" Action....
the premium version will allow you to have more than one "Action" take place.

Thanks, so far, for the tips. I haven't been able to get Macroid to stop the vibrations. First, I set "Trigger" to "incoming action" to "Any App, any content" and "Action" to "Vibrate enable/disable" to "Normal Off". Still vibrated. Then I added "Widget Red Button" to "Trigger" but tapping that didn't help. What have I missed?
To dontpanicbobby, that was the first thing I checked.
I finally set up a "Notification button". When I tap it, I get a pop up message saying "Vibration off". Unfortunately, it still vibrates. What next?

I was thinking the same thing. Then I tried "Do Not Disturb" and that stopped the vibrating. Too bad it stopped the phone too. I'm going to disable 10 apps a day until I find the app. I can't think of anything else.

I set the Notification Sound to a "Pop". I started disabling 10 apps at a time in the Application Manager until the vibration with the "Pop" stopped. I've got it narrowed down to a Google app causing the problem. Now I have to see which.one and figure out why. I'm getting there! Thanks for the suggestions. They did help by getting me thinking straight.

Solution:
The app causing the problem was one of these three; Google Play Services, Google ➕, or Google Play Store. When I disabled that group, the vibration stopped. The interesting part was when I enabled them again, no vibration. I must have reset the app that caused the problem. The good part is at least I know I didn't do something to cause the problem. (And I really didn't do anything to fix it.)

At least you did NOT have to do a FDR and go thru the hassle of setting up your phone again

Ain't that the truth. If I couldn't solve it any other way, I was truely considering to keep the glitch instead of an FDR. The strange thing is I did do a simulated battery pull soft reset which should have reset the apps. I guess I shouldn't complain.
