Unlimited LTE Upgrade Question

Maybe silly question but I'd rather be safe and do the homework.

For those grandfathered into unlimited LTE, can we upgrade through Amazon.com, Best Buy (etc..) or do we need to go through Verizon Online/Phone/Store?

Okay did my research it looks like nothing will be affected as long as you go through an Authorized Retailer
