Help unlimited tethering?

So ever since tethering became free I have been using it until I received a msg that said I had used up my tethering data,(I am on the unlimited $50 4g lte unlimited promo plan) so once I received the msg I was no longer able to tether. However a week or so later I was able to tether again expect with dramatically slower speeds. All within the same "payment month"or however you want to call it. So my question is: is there a way to " reset" my tethering data so my speeds will be faster? Is there an app I can use to tethering without it counting towards my tethering "data usage"?

Not sure about the $50 plan, I'm on the $60 plan and my tethering speed was throttled after 6GB. I was able to go to MetroPCS store and buy another GB for $5 but I chewed through that real fast. Since then I've used a PDAnet+ USB connection with the "Hide Tethering" option enabled and have been able to get full speed. I've used about 90GB this month, tethered and on the phone itself combined, and I'm still getting full LTE speed where available. I had to use the laptop last night so I tethered and it was full speed all over again. Again, not sure about the $50 plan but the $60 plan seems to cover all bases, along with PDAnet+.

Included tethering, isn't unlimited, only your data plan on the phone is.
PDAnet w/ usb cable, still works at full speed

Customers on MetroPCS' $60/month plan (or $50 promo unlimited plan), with includes unlimited talk and messaging and unlimited, unthrottled data for on-phone use, will be allowed 6 GB of full speed hotspot data. After 6 GB, hotspot will still work at the throttled speed of 128 Mbps.
